How Bouldering can change your life

Build Community:

Skyhook Bouldering is a community focused space, we work hard getting to know our members, making them feel welcome, and helping them connect with other like minded people. So many members have signed up alone, met people here to climb with, and now hang out outside this space as well.

The Third Space:

The third space is a concept of having a place to go that is not your home or work in order to create a sense of belonging, and community engagment. These spaces have been shutting down since the COVID pandemic and the impact on society’s mental health has been aparent. We are passionate about bringing this space back into your lives, whether you are a night owl, or an early bird, we are open 24/7 for members to utlilize our gym as a third space.

Engage in a Supportive Environment:

In bouldering we see success as individuals, it’s you vs the wall, and every other person in the gym is rooting for YOU to succeed. It is commonplace at Skyhook to see people cheering and clapping for strangers when they push their limits and try hard. Often times, after this experience those people aren’t strangers anymore. This positive support network can be fantastic in raising self confidence and creating a sense of belonging.

Meet New People:

Living in a new city can be hard, meeting people you like can also be hard. A community like Skyhook is a perfect place to expose yourself to lots of people in a short amount of time and not have to deal with the awkwardness of a 1 on 1 meeting with a stranger. Get to know people in a group environment, before hanging out 1 on 1.

Fitness That is Fun

Lets be honest, working out can be a drag. Bouldering is an awesome fitness option because it is fun and engaging for your brain and body, which can keep you working more consistently and keep you on track for your fitness goals for longer.

Sound too good to be true?

Here’s what our current and former members have to say about the gym

  • What I love the most about Skyhook is the incredible community and atmosphere. Everyone on the staff is welcoming and helpful, and I’ve made so many genuine friends since starting my membership.

    Former Member

  • I was a bit scared to try bouldering for the first time, but everyone was so welcoming and kind. Cody even took the time to show me the basics and gave me a tour of the space.

    Current Member

  • ...I greatly appreciate how they're goal is to create an accepting, open community and not just a gym.

    Current Member

  • My new home away from home! Skyhook is a fresh take on a bouldering community that’s really got the community part down.

    Current Members

  • Skyhook Bouldering is an absolute gem! It’s more than just a climbing gym—it’s a welcoming space where you can connect with an incredibly friendly community.

    Former Member

  • This is exactly the space I’ve been looking for. Everyone who works here is friendly and passionate about what they do. The routes are fantastic and fun (even the easier ones) and their rating system should be used by more gyms. The community aspect is a huge part of what makes it great.
