About

We're a locally owned bouldering gym on SE Division, built by people who genuinely love climbing and the community it creates.

We believe climbing gyms should be more than just a place to train—they should be where you find your people, try new things, and actually want to spend time even when you're not on the wall.

Whether you're crushing your project at 6am or decompressing after work at midnight, Skyhook is here for it. We're open 24/7 to our members because your schedule shouldn't dictate when you can climb.

Skyhook is and has always been a local, family owned business.

It started with a backyard dream and grew into something bigger than we ever imagined. Skyhook Ninja Fitness, our original venture, was built from scratch by our founders with equal parts passion, perseverance, and a dash of childhood whimsy. What began as a modest backyard setup became a thriving fitness community, and that spirit has never left us.

What we learned from building Skyhook Ninja: when you create a space where people feel welcomed and supported, where genuine friendships form, that's when the magic happens. We wanted to bring that same energy to adult climbers. We're not trying to be the most hardcore training facility in Portland. We're here to be where Southeast Portland's climbing community comes together.

We believe fitness and fun can, and should, coexist.

Our goal is to create a third space where people of all ages and abilities can play hard, challenge themselves, and grow — physically, mentally, and together as a community. We want this to be a space where you can let loose, be silly, and embrace your inner self.
